On February 10, 2013 MOHAN Foundation organized an awareness cum fund-raising event, "Celebrating Life - a musical evening by Indian Ocean" at Zorba, MG Road, New Delhi. The main objective of the event was to create awareness on deceased organ donation, to help people connect with the cause through music and to evangelize it with a popular mainstream band show.
About the band: Indian Ocean is an Indian rock band who is considered to be the pioneers of fusion rock genre in India. Their music has been categorised by critics as "Indo-rock fusion with jazz-spiced rhythms that integrates Sholakas, Sufism, environmentalism, mythology and revolution". The band has been associated in the past with social causes and has helped organizations to spread their message through music. All the band members contributed to
the cause by signing the donor card.
An estimated 500- 600 people attended the event. Prominent corporate hospitals of Delhi-NCR were well represented.
