MOHAN Foundation Bangalore organized a half-day CME programme on Deceased Organ Donation at Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Science (AIMS) on 30th July 2012. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. M.G Shivaramu, Principal, AIMS in the presence of Ms.Lalitha Raghuram, Country Director, MOHAN Foundation, Dr.Chinnadurai. R, Consultant - Critical Care Medicine, Columbia Asia Hospital, Bangalore,Dr.Anil Kumar B.T, Consultant Nephrologist and Transplant Physician, BGS Hospital, Bangalore and Dr.Mathew Jacob, Senior Consultant - Hepatobiliary and Transplantation Surgery, BGS Hospital, Bangalore. More than 150 undergraduate and postgraduate medical students from Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Science attended the programme. The interactive sessions by the experienced faculty helped the students understand the concept of deceased organ donation. The workshop took them beyond the curriculum, helped them gain knowledge and develop the right attitude towards the noble cause of organ donation.
