Owing the celebration of the world organ donor day on August 13, 2018, B-Braun Medical Pvt Lmt. with the vision “protect and improve the health around the world” in collaboration with MOHAN Foundation organized a pan India program among the employees on organ donation. B- Braun with over 61,000 employees is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of medical devices and pharmaceutical products. Mr. Ruban Victor, MOHAN foundation was the expert resource person and addressed the staff of the Chengalpattu plant.
The program session began with a welcome address by Mrs. Merlin Victor – Manager HR B-Braun Chengalpattu branch, on why the gathering was organized. Mrs. Merlin elaborated the past program done and also the need to promote organ donation among the employees. The session ended with the video on donor family which was widely welcomed by the gathering.
Followed by this, a session on Concepts of Organ Donation was taken by Mr. Ruban Victor. He focused on the need to be healthy and safe, living donation, laws pertaining to organ donation, difference between cardiac death and brain death and other concepts regarding organ donation was explained to the gathering. The session was interactive with participant’s involvement making it livelier. During the session the pan India donor card link designed by MOHAN Foundation was launched, the link will be shared among all the office employees of B-Braun to register them for organ donation.
