An awareness talk on organ donation was organised at Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL), Bangalore on 25th July, 2013. There were 55 employees who participated in the event. Ms. Laitha and Ms. Beena, Human Resource Managers, JLL were also present for the session.
The session started off with few of the employees sharing their knowledge about the issue. After which; Ms. Smeja Paul, Project Manager, MOHAN Foundation, Bangalore explained to them about the concept of organ donation, the legal aspects involved and about Brain Death. She also focused on how every single one of them could help promote the cause. The talk was followed by an interactive session. 2 of the questions asked were: what are the procedures involved in organ donation and why is MOHAN Foundation not involved in organ allocation.
27 participants picked up a donor card and duly signed it.
