On 30 December 2016, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session on organ donation at the RTO office at Giripat. MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Sharad Jighkar, Regional Transport Officer, Giripeth, Nagpur to speak to the drivers who apply for vehicle registration and driving license
Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation delivered a talk on Organ Donation. In his talk he explained the following points:-
It was a very interactive session. 26 drivers were present at the talk. 3 drivers signed consent form and took donor card.
The drivers asked the following questions:-
1) How much time taken for brain death if blood and oxygen not supply in the brain?
2) Why in Natural Death a person cannot donate organ?
