

On 29th April 2014 MOHAN Foundation Nagpur centre was invited by Dr. Rajukar, Secretary of Getwell Hospital &Research Institute, Dhantoli, Nagpur to give a talk on deceased organ donation. 30 staff members attended the session.
Dr. Ravi Wankhede Director of the MOHAN Foundation conducted that talk. With the help of a powerpoint presentation he explained the concepts of Organ Donation. He spoke about importance of family consent and the value of a donor card. He highlighted that organs and tissues can be donated after brain death, natural death, live donation and concept of brain death. He explained that after brain death it is impossible to come back his life & if the brain death patient’s family wants to donate organs then they can help several people.
7 participants signed the pledge form. At the end of talk, he gave Information about other functions of MOHAN Foundation like the toll free helpline number of and transplant coordinators training programs. He requested all to visit the MOHAN Foundation website for more information.
