On 14th December 2011. an awareness talk on Eye, Blood and Organ Donation was organized by the Rotary Club of Coimbatore - Mid Town. Mr. Pratap Gokuldass spoke about ‘Giving without opening your purse’. He had a smile, an act of forgiveness, sharing happiness and donating eyes are things that can be given without opening our purse. Earlier, Mr. Pratap Gokuldass was asked to give artificial limbs to the beneficiaries of Rotary Club End Polio Program.
Mr. Arun Gokuldass spoke about the importance of donating blood. He said lack of blood for transfusion puts thousands of patients’ lives at risk. He also said if one is not able to donate blood due to some reason, at least mobilize your friends for donations.
Lastly I spoke about MOHAN Foundation, Organ Donation, Transplantation, Transplantation Act, and Donor Cards. MOHAN Foundation and its Priceless Gift Brochures were distributed. Almost all who attended pledged for a Donor Cards. The President, Rotary Club of Coimbatore - Mid Town, said a word of thanks and honored the Chief Guest with mementos.
