On 1st January 2025, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Dr. Mehr Chand, NSS Program Officer to conduct an awareness talk on organ donation for their NSS volunteers at Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-42 Chandigarh. Around 220 volunteers attended the session.
Participants were given an introduction and presentation on organ donation and brain death by Ms. Neha Sharma .
The following topics were explained in detail:
A short informative film on brain death was shown and the importance of family consent in the process of organ donation was also explained in detail.
It was indeed an amazing session. All the NSS Volunteers, Teachers & Resource person in the session expressed their support for the noble cause.
At the end of the presentation NSS Volunteer requested the cadets that we all should pledge our organs and talk to the family, friends and teachers about this noble cause.
