On 19th April 2018, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mrs. Baljinder Kaur, NSS Program Officer in Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 47D, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk on Organ Donation for their NSS Students. Approximately 70 students from class 12th attended the session.
Mrs. Baljinder Kaur, NSS Program Officer addressed the students and gave a brief introduction on Organ Donation to their students.
Students were given an introduction & presentation on how important is Organ donation and tissue donation and too many people waiting for transplant by Ms. Aakriti Negi.
In this talk she explained the following points: -
It was indeed an amazing session. All the students were highly motivated and said they will come forth to make it a success in their areas. In the end they were also told that it is very important to tell your family about their wish. Also, helping people to visualize the lifesaving impact that organ donation makes on their community. Few students also picked up the Donor Cards.
