Awareness Session on Organ donation at State Institute of Health and Family Welfare in Foundation training

  • On October 24, 2024, a significant awareness session on organ donation was held at the Jaipur State Institute of Health and Family Welfare. The event was targeted at medical officers undergoing Foundation training, with the goal of educating them about the crucial role of organ donation in saving lives.

    Dr. Sanjana Bhojwani - member, MFJCF delivered a comprehensive presentation that dispelled common misconceptions and highlighted the importance of organ donation. The session delved into the legal and ethical frameworks surrounding organ donation, providing attendees with a clear understanding of the process.

    Dr. Anushree Nair-Director, MFJCF delivered another session for Medical Officers undergoing mental health training.To emphasize the profound impact of organ donation, real-life stories and testimonials from donors and recipients were shared. These personal accounts served as powerful reminders of the life-changing potential of this selfless act.

    The trainees actively engaged with the content, posing thoughtful questions and participating in insightful discussions. This interaction demonstrated their keen interest in learning more about organ donation and its societal benefits.

    The session was a resounding success in raising awareness about organ donation among the medical officers. The trainees were encouraged to consider becoming organ donors themselves and to spread the message to their communities.

    Close to 53 trainees were sensitized.
