

On September 26, 2024, the MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session on organ donation for students in the IT Department at Somaiya Vidya Vihar University, Chembur. The session was organized in coordination with Ms. Mousmi, the Head of the IT Department.
Ms. Prarthana Dwivedi introduced the MOHAN Foundation and initiated a discussion on organ donation, addressing the varied reactions from the students. She provided a comprehensive overview of the necessity of organ donation, the types of organs that can be donated, and the different categories of donors. Additionally, she clarified the concepts of brain death and cardiac death, emphasizing the viability of organs after retrieval.
The session also covered important topics such as skin donation, eye donation, organ donation, and body donation. A total of 158 students attended the session, all of whom pledged their support for organ donation.
The MOHAN Foundation extends its gratitude to Ms. Mousmi for her support in organizing this vital session on organ donation.
