An awareness session was organized by Sadashaya Foundation to senior citizens of Sahara Estates, Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad on 27th December 2024.
Mr.Sravan Kumar, Founder Sadashaya foundation and Mr.Gnaneshwar, President Senior Citizens Forum, invited MOHAN Foundation to conduct an awareness to senior citizens.
Dr Bhanu Chandra of MOHAN Foundation spoke on concepts of organ donation, brain death, ways of organ transplantation, myths involved in organ donation and THO 1994 Act. Along with this, he explained the importance and procedure of whole body donation.
Mr Aravind from Vasan Eye Bank spoke on cornea donation and its importance.
Around 80 senior citizens attended the session and 75 members pledged for organ donation.
