On June 18, 2015, MOHAN Foundation was invited to give a talk on organ donation at OSSCube Solutions Ltd., Noida. The session was held in the cafeteria, 2nd floor and was attended by 60 people.
The session was organized through initiatives taken by Ms. Tripti Jain (Manager Process Group) and Mr. Nitin Kumar Singh as a part of the company’s’ CSR activity.
Established in 2006, OSSCube is a privately held company backed by a team of successful serial entrepreneurs. It offers a broad array of services including consulting, elastic virtual development resources, mobile, web and custom application development, product support and open source training.
The session was taken by Dr. Muneet Sahi who started the session by screening a short film on brain death and after the screening opened the floor to questions. The participants were very observant and asked intelligent and practical questions pertaining to the issue of organ donation.
Over all the session was very interactive where in all the participants listened attentively and participated in the discussion following the presentation on organ donation. Dr. Muneet in her presentation covered topics like THOT Act, myths, facts and statistics related to organ donation, contraindications to organ donation and who can be a donor. She also spoke briefly upon the role and importance of NOTTO, the central body in ensuring the transparency of the whole allocation process.
