On 4th October, 2014, MOHAN Foundation Chandigarh conducted an awareness programme for the students of MCM DAV, sector-36, Chandigarh .The programme was the part of their one week residential workshop. Dr. Sarita Chauhan who is the college in charge of NSS showed a great interest in this noble cause of organ donation and promised more such sessions in her college.
There were around 50 students who participated in the program and took MOHAN Foundation’s donor cards and pledged their organs. The students were educated by Ms. Nilakshi the Program Coordinator about organ donation and how to go about it, not only that the myths and doubts which are associated with organ donation were also cleared. It was a stimulating session in which a lot many students asked questions.
