MOHAN Foundation Hyderabad was invited by Ln. Natraj of Lions Club – Jadcherla, Mahabubnagar District to conduct an awareness session on organ donation at the 50 years celebrations of Sri Mahalaxmi Seva Trust on 4th December, 2014. There were more than 2000 participants that have actively participated in the event. All the participants were distributed donor cards, family donor cards, information brochures and activity reports of MOHAN Foundation.
Dr. Koti Reddy of MOHAN Foundation spoke about importance of deceased organ donation, religious and cultural barriers involved with organ donation & eye donation, benefits of transplantation, T.H.O 1994 Act, concept of brain death and myths surrounding organ donation, religion and organ donation.
We thank Ln. Natraj and Ln. Praveen of Lions Club - Jadcherla for inviting us and the members of Sri Mahalaxmi Seva Trust for organizing such an event to bring awareness among the public on organ donation.
