Sri Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences, Tirupati organized awareness program on Cadaver Organ Donation and releasing of Donor Card.
The program was attended by Chief guest Sri V.Ravinder IPS, Superintendent of police, Tirupathi urban, Guest of honor Prof.S.Sudarshan Sarma, vice chancellor, S.V. Vedic University, Tirupathi. and invitees Dr.S.Balaramaraju, principal, S.V Medical college, Tirupathi. Dr.K.Sada Sivaiah, superintendent, S.V.R.R.G.G Hospital. Tirupathi. Dr.V.Sudhakar Babu, superintendent, govt.maternity hospital, Tirupathi. Sri Raghuram, Convener AP,MOHAN Foundation, Smt Lalitha Raghuram, country director, MOHAN Foundation, Hyderabad.
The program started with a prayer and the lightening of lamp by the dignitaries on the dais. All the dignitaries and the public pledged to donate organs after death.
Dr.Manjusha, associated professor, dept of Nephrology, SVIMS, Tirupathi. Spoke on the topic of Introduction of Cadaver Organ Donation, Mrs.Lalitha Raghuram spoke on success of MOHAN Foundation and Mr.Raghuram about the practical difficulties in Organ Donation and finally Dr.Vengamma, Director, SVIMS, Tirupati . Mr.V.Ravinder IPS, Chief Guest, promised to support the program of organ donation and all invitees also spoke on the importance of organ donation.
