As part of the Organ Donation Day celebrations, Ambassador Ms. Jahnvi Mishra of College of Law, Nirma University, Ahmedabad organized a talk on organ donation. The virtual talk was held on 9th August 2021 and was attended by 12 people.
Dr. Hemal Kanvinde, Quality Assurance Officer of MOHAN Foundation was present as a mentor for the program. Ms. Jahnvi’s talk covered the various aspects of organ donation and conveyed the vital message that organ donation after death could save the lives of many. Organ failure, organ transplantation, brain death, transplant law, process to sign up as an organ donor and family consent were explained to the audience.
Discussion after the talk was around the opt-in and opt-out options and making organ donation a norm in our country.
