On 4th August 2017, MOHAN Foundation team went to Murugan Hospital at Kilpauk Garden Road for conducting an awareness talk on organ donation among the hospital staff. The program started with a formal introduction note and theme introduction. Mr. Ruban Victor and Mr. Jayaprakash Daniel represented MOHAN Foundation.
Organ Donation awareness talk was given by Mr. Jayaprakash Daniel which included topics such as the following

3. Organs and Tissues that can be donated at time of living and death
4. Introduction to Brain Death
5. Causes of Brain Death
6. Difference between Coma and Brain Death
7. Retrieval and Transplantation Time Period for each organ
8. Tribute to Organ Donors
9. About MOHAN Foundation and its activities

After the awareness presentation, Mr. Ruban Victor, Transplant Coordinator from PIMS Hospital shared his experience as transplant coordinator and also spoke on important aspects such as donor maintenance, coordination and liaisoning process, he also stressed the importance of possessing skills such as rapport building, documentation and good communication which are necessary in field of oragn donation. Victor’s key touch was on ‘Maintenance of Potential Donor’ by quoting one of his best remembered case in PIMS.
As the result of this program 10 people came forward to pledge for organ donation and also requested for more programs in future. Participants were given stickers with helpline numbers. Finally the program ended with photo session.
