On 27th August 2015, Sow. Madhuraghasri, Asst. Professor invited Cadaver Transplant Programme to give an awareness talk on Organ Donation at her wedding reception. She said that she wanted to pledge to donate her organs on her wedding day. Mr. Prakash K. Transplant Coordinator was deputed from MOHAN Foundation to speak at the programme.
The programme began with an introduction to the noble cause of organ donation and the newly married couple pledged for organ donation by picking up the first donor card. This was followed by a presentation and a stall.
The transplant coordinator spoke about the Concepts of Organ Donation. It was more of an interactive session. The following topics were covered during the talk:
At the end of the programme the transplant coordinator wished the couple a happy married life. More than 500 people visited the stall and 110 people picked up a donor card and supported the cause of organ donation.
