A Talk on Organ Donation and Transplantation for Employees of B. Braun India

  • On December 4, 2020, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness talk on organ donation for the employees of B. Braun Medical (I) Pvt. Ltd. Ms. Garima Singh (Officer- HR & Admin) and Ms. Swati Dasgupta organised the virtual session which was attended by employees across the country.
    Ms. Ishwarya Thyagarajan from the Foundation delivered the talk.

    Founded in Germany in 1839 and with over 60,000 employees in 64 countries, B. Braun is one of the world's largest medical technology companies, specializing in solutions related to infusion therapy, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, anaesthesia, extracorporeal blood treatment, spine surgery, diabetes care, clinical nutrition, wound management, infection prevention and surgical technologies. B. Braun in collaboration with MOHAN Foundation has been organising organ donation awareness sessions for a few years now. Committed to sustainability, this was one of B. Braun’s many social responsible initiatives.

    • Organs and tissues that can be donated under different circumstances
    • Brain death
    • The Transplantation of Human Organs Act

    • Organ donation rates across the globe
    • Myths related to organ donation

    A participant had a question about organ wastage before the session came to a close. Ms. Garima thanked Ishwarya and the audience. MOHAN Foundation appreciates B. Braun’s commitment to the cause and is thankful for the opportunity.
